Breaking Dawn

I almost forgot...I finished Breaking Dawn about 2 weeks ago, after carefully pacing myself! I read the first half of the book in a day and a half and I knew I wanted to make it last so I ended up stretching it out over 6 days. Don't worry I won't spoil anything for those of you that have yet to read it! It was so good! I loved it and it all came together so well at the end. I did cry for about the last 10 pages though. I didn't cry because the book was sad, I cried because I was sad! I don't want the story of Bella, Edward, vampires, and werewolves to end. I just loved these books, and Stephanie Meyers is an amazing author. Now I am looking forward to the movie! I must admit though I am pretty sure I am going to be disappointed in the movie. I hate the Edward they picked out, and I just don't think a movie could ever do this book justice!

Lake Powell is 08' was GREAT!!!!

On Tuesday me and about 20 other friends packed up and went to Lake Powell. It was so so so fun! The sun was great too, it was just perfect down there! What could be better, great friends, crazy nights, a dance party, wake boarding and wake surfing, jet skis, and the beautiful lake! It was a much needed vacation for me! I have another fun 2 weeks ahead, while down there I met Lindsey and we were great friends from the second we met (which is weird because as most people know most girls don't get along great because all other girls are weird) so I am going back to Lake Powell this weekend with her and some friends and then next week I am camping with my family all week! Yahoo! I'm ending summer with a big bang!

Our fake tats that we bought in this nasty little shop in Beaver...but we look hard core!

All the girls that went down! All these girls were awesome and so much fun!

Picky or Shallow?

Ok, Help me please, I have a question for everyone. Since most of my friends on here are married maybe they can give me some advice. I have been going out with an array of guys lately. Most nights I come home and my friends and family ask how the date was, if I liked him, if he is cute, etc...I am having major issues. I really like tall guys (I found that 6'5 is the perfect height for me) and it seems if I date anyone who is under 6'1 (most of the time) I say they are too short, and them being short bugs me. I don't really like skinny guys either and it seems that most guys are a little too skinny for me, and if they aren't too skinny they are too obsessive with working out, then it bugs me too. It just seems like most of the guys I go out with I find little things that bug me...the height is the major issue! Also, age has been an issue too. I am finding the guys I am dating that are at least 26 are way more mature and they have a lot more direction in their life. It bugs me to go out with a 24 year old that says he doesn't really know his major yet or what he wants out of life. This isn't only about looks! So here is my question...my mom and sister get really upset with me and tell me I am being "SHALLOW", I think of it more as knowing what I want and being a little PICKY. I really want honest answers So should I get over this and am I being SHALLOW? Or is it ok to be PICKY in this situation? Please help...

Jenny's Day!!!!

Yesterday was one of the most amazing days of my life. My family and I went and did my sister Jenny's temple work. I got to be baptized for her and I can't even begin to describe how special it was. Jenny has been gone for a year and a half now and I miss more than I could ever describe. I think about her daily and I cannot wait until our family is whole and is reunited again! I miss her friendship, she was one of my best friends and although she probably got sick of listening to me, I told her everything! I miss her spirit so much, and I would give anything to hold her in my arms one last time and read her a book (her favorite thing!) I know she is happy though and I am happy for her! I love her and miss her so much and no one else in the world will ever affect my life the way she has!

Jamie's Wedding!

This weekend was filled up mostly by Jamie's Wedding! Jamie married Jay Johnson on 08/08/08 and I was the maid of honor in her wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and a great day. It was exactly what Jamie could have ever dreamed of! I have known Jamie since I was about 8 years old and she is one of the very few people who knows and accepts the real me! Through out our friendship there have been times that we were inseparable and other times where we have been so mad at each other, but our friendship really is the friendship that will last a life time...and longer! She has always been there for me, through the heartache of my sister dying (I will never forget a lunch we shared when she was there for me through one of the hardest days of my life), through all the drama of high school and countless talks about dumb boyfriends, and just bad days. She has also been part of some of the happiest times of my life, she is part of my family and I love her so much! I am so happy for her and Jay to start their life together! Congrats Jame's I love you!

FuN, FuN, FuN

The past few days have been a lot of fun! On Thursday I finished up my internship...Yahoo, no more working for free! My friend Jacquelyn wanted to take me out to celebrate and we ended up going to her house because she forgot something and all my friends were there! She threw me a surprise BBQ party for my Graduation and for my Birthday! It was a lot of fun and I have some of the best friends ever (as Richard and Nick did a lot to help too!)
Me and Jac at the BBQ
Me, Jac, Lindsey, and Jordan
And Yes...we are playing hands-up-stands up! See although I am old, I am still young at heart!

Then Yesterday a bunch of friends and I went and floated the Provo River! It was a lot of fun too...although I forgot how cold it is! I was the only one who hadn't fallen off my tube or hit a tree or rock and Nick and Richard just could let that happened. They snuck up on me and tipped my tube over and I was so mad and I was shivering so bad...Ah...those boys! Sky made sure to wear his sweet head band and Nick Brouker of course kept falling off his and poor Whitney popped her tube within the first 5 min! Lucky...there was Me, Falua, and Jac who came prepared...we stuck our gum to her tube and it actually worked, her tube made it the rest of the 2 hour float! It was a lot a fun to just relax and spend a great day with my friends!
The Whole gang...

I love this...Nick and Skyler kill me!
