Oh my...things have been so busy around here. First off, I started working. I got so lucky and the perfect job basically just landed in my lap. I am a social worker for a home health company and I work PRN (or on a as needed basis). I will be working 5-15 hours per week and I get to choose my own schedule, not to mention I make more than I ever even knew a social worker could make so that makes it a million times better too! I love it so far. It is perfect for me and our family right now. I am so grateful I got the opportunity to get this job. I have always debated on whether I should work or not. On one hand I never wanted to leave Taylee with a baby sitter, but I worked really hard to get my master's degree and wanted to use it. It has worked out nice, I am able to work around Zach's schedule and my mom has been watching her a few times a week to help out which has also helped out a ton!
Now on to EASTER...this year was so fun having a baby to celebrate with. On Saturday we went to the Geertsen side for a Ham dinner as well as so croquet. I asked Zach to get my camera ready and get it in the car and of course he forgot so I have no pictures from that night. On Sunday the Easter Bunny came and delivered quite a bit of stuff for Tay. I was so mad that her Easter dress was way to big...it is 6 months and she is 5.5 so I though for sure it would fit. Oh well, she'll grow into it! Later, we went to my mom's for an Easter egg hunt, dinner, and a whole lot of toys and treats. Between the Easter bunny, my mom, and Taylee's great grandmas she got 4 Easter baskets!!!! What a spoiled 5 month old! Of course my mom went way overboard like she always does for all the grand kids, her house looked like Christmas in April! It was such a great weekend though! Happy Easter!!!
Tay and what the Easter Bunny brought her...I can't wait for her to wear that cute swimsuit!

The damage...man that is a lot of stuff just for Easter!
I can't wait for Easter...my mother instilled in me the importance of family traditions. I am in a panic though because I have searched and searched and to no avail I have not been able to find Taylee "her" Easter basket. I did pick up a cheap one up from target, but I want a nice basket that is sturdy and cute that can last her forever. My mom still gives me (and now Zach) my Easter basket that I have had since I was a baby, I love my purple basket. That is the only thing that is missing though. I have gotten Taylee all the things that we got for Easter every year which includes, an Easter swimsuit, and Easter dress, 2 outfits as well as sandals to match, a toy, books, and some baby food and snacks for her treats. My mom was upset that I wasn't going to get her peeps and the box animal crackers that are a staple for Easter in the Evans house. Don't worry my mom bought extra so I could give her some as well as getting some from her Gram. I am done, another tradition fulfilled (except for the perfect basket, oh well I will try again next year). Taylee can't wait for Sunday to experience the Evans Easter egg hunt and the spring tree. My mom has a special tree that every year during spring the tree grows candy bars...yes...candy bars! The kids think it is the greatest thing ever, and so do I ;)! Yay, for traditions, I honestly had the best holidays ever growing up and hope I can give Taylee the same joy. My mom is so creative and thoughtful it made every holiday so fun! She also does this for her Grand kids, I think she goes overboard for being a Grandma. Oh well at least my kids will get to enjoy it. However, I sure hope she doesn't show me up on holidays by giving her more than I do! Thanks mom, we sure love you for all you do!
